Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for federal holidays and weather emergencies.
How do I find my polling place?
All wards vote at the City Community Center/Chamber of Commerce Building.

Please enter through the front doors on the west side of the building. Each ward will progress down the appropriate hallways on the right and the left of the facility. Exit through the south door towards the back of the facility.
Where do I apply for a dog license?
Dog licenses are handled by the city clerk's office. Forms are available at city hall or on the Administration area of this website. All dogs need a license that is good for that animal's life. Cats do not require a license.
When is a Snow Emergency declared?
A snow emergency is declared when city officials determine that plowing is necessary.
There will be no parking on designated snow emergency routes during any declared snow emergency. Designated snow emergency routes are: US Highway 14 & State Highway 4 within the city limits, and the downtown business district from 3rd Avenue East to State Highway 4, from Walnut Street to Oak Street.
ONCE A SNOW EMERGENCY HAS BEEN DECLARED, RESIDENTS WILL HAVE TWO HOURS TO REMOVE THEIR VEHICLES FROM THE STREETS IN THESE DESIGNATED AREAS. AFTER TWO HOURS, THEY WILL BE SUBJECT TO TICKETING AND TOWING.

How do I know if we are in a Snow Emergency?
A Snow Emergency declaration will be announced on KNUJ 860AM / SAM 107.3FM radio stations, as well as on the city website, the Herald Dispatch website and Facebook page, and Sleepy Eye Online and their Facebook page and Twitter account. It is the responsibility of local residents to be aware of when a Snow Emergency is in affect.
When is recycling picked up?
Recycling services are provided through Braun & Borth Sanitation. Beginning January 1, 2011, recyclables will be picked up every week along with regular garbage pickup.
