Our Mission Statement
Sleepy Eye Parks Department staff strive to provide safe, healthy and enjoyable park and recreation facilities. It provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy nature, sports, camping, and fishing.
Our Staff
Sleepy Eye Parks Department has 2 full-time employees and 2-3 seasonal employees working in:
Sleepy Eye has a parks system that is at least equal to or surpasses any community of equal size in the state. The ten parks which range in size from 1 city block to 18.2 acres are arranged for easy accessibility for all city residents and visitors.

- 7 restroom facilities (opened seasonally)
- 1 shower facilities
- 24 camp sites & 2 camper cabins
- 10 picnic shelter facilities
- 5 fishing piers
- 5K Walk/Run/Bicycle path
- 1 shop facility
