Sleepy Eye Park System
Sleepy Eye has a parks system that is at least equal to or surpasses any community of equal size in the state. The ten parks which range in size from 1 city block to 18.2 acres are arranged for easy accessibility for all city residents and visitors. |

Sleepy Eye Lake
Sleepy Eye Lake is a tremendous outlet for local water sports activity.
It is also a great fishing lake for pan-fish, bass, walleye, and northern pike.

Sportsmen's Park - 1000 3rd Ave NW

Located on the north side of Sleepy Eye Lake. The park’s amenities include: camping, three fishing docks, a public boat launch, playground, Sleepy Eye Lake Trail access for walking/running & bicycles, a bathhouse which includes rest rooms with separate showers, and an on-site dumping station.

Sportsman's Park Large Shelter
The large picnic shelter includes restrooms is available to use on a first come, first served basis, unless the shelter is reserved. This shelter is available to the public. To reserve this shelter see Park Shelter Rental.

Sportsman's Park Playgrounds
This playground is located to the east of the large picnic shelter, and west of the large fishing dock at Sportsman's Park. It is just off the bike trail, so it is a great place for a rest. Restrooms are available in the large shelter next to the playground.
Sportsman's Park Kayak & Paddle Board Rental

Kayaks and Paddle Boards is a new and exciting recreational opportunity for campers and our community who don’t own a boat. This is a safe and enjoyable way to experience Sleepy Eye Lake. We provide a high quality selection of single kayaks, double kayaks, and paddle boards, along with paddles, and life jackets.

Sportsman's Park Scooter Rentals

Scooters are here to rent. See our scooter rental page with all the information you will need to know to rent a scooter.
These scooters can be ridden on the bike path, max speed on the path is 12mph. Around Sleepy Eye max speed is 17mph. Click on the link below to go to our rental page.

Allison Park - 500 4th Ave NW
|
Located on the south side of Sleepy Eye Lake. It has playground equipment, sand volleyball, basketball court, and five shelters.
Many of our city's celebrations are held in this park. Great location for family reunions. It is within walking distance of a swimming beach, and fishing pier. Allison Park is also one of two trail heads to the Sleepy Eye Lake Trail, see map above. |

Located in the northeast section of Sleepy Eye it offers a softball field, tennis courts (which are also striped for pickle ball), a basketball court, playground area, a covered picnic shelter, and restrooms.
No concession stand on site, there is a drinking water faucet available. Please plan appropriately. |

Burnside Park - 300 Burnside St S.E.

Located in the southeast section of Sleepy Eye. This park is pretty basic, it has an ice rink & warming house in the winter, and a softball field in the summer; there are restrooms.
There is no concession stand and no drinking faucet on site, please plan appropriately. |

Dyckman Free Library
Books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, free WIFI, computers, copies and faxing, book club and much more. In the summer rent Pickle-ball rackets & balls; life-vests for water safety. In the snowy season you can rent snowshoes. Attend one of the painting classes or the many other informational events, they are not just for children. Prairie View Park - 810 7th Ave S.W.

Located in the southwest part of Sleepy Eye, just a few blocks south of Eagles Park, it has two adjoining softball fields, playground equipment, a covered shelter with picnic tables, & restrooms.
A concession stand is on site, however the volunteer group that runs the stand may not have it open for all games. There is a drinking faucet on site. Please plan appropriately. PS: Google Maps does not have Prairie View in the correct location. They have the spot at the Sleepy Eye Baseball Field. |
